Creating a safe space for community to gather at Kinktoberfest includes all of our participation. Let’s gather and have some fun! Here’s how you, your organization, or business might get involved. Attendees (paid entry or volunteer) • Attendance is a great way to enjoy, learn, and share your knowledge with others. • What do you obtain? o Entry into Kintoberfest days of your choice. Community, fun, learning. o For the weekend event: Swag bag, Program Book with agenda, class list, instructor list, community information, advertisements, and other information. o For the weekend event: Swag Bag of items at registration for the weekend event. • Ticket sales have not started. Shoppers (free entry) • We are planning to have free or reduced entry for visitors that just want to shop the vendor space without attending the event. This will may be during limited hours of the day. Working the details! More soon! • Why? o NM-REAL and Kinktoberfest want to provide visibility to our local artisans and national providers to help with their success. It’s part of our mission to give back to our community. o It can be hard to access great kink and leather items and services in New Mexico, so we should try to provide every opportunity for our community. Instructors • We share, we learn, by listening and practicing with others in classes or in play. If you would like to be an instructor for Kinktoberfest and share your joy and knowledge through teaching, please contact us. We have not started accepting applications for 2026. Check back later! Vendors • Those who provide products and services in our community bring delights and toys to take home. They also may provide custom creations and services. Bootblacks are also essential vendors in our community, caring for our leathers and so much more. We have limited space for vendors. Check with us to see! Volunteers • Volunteers make the event happen and help create your experience. Volunteering is also a great way to connect with the community and learn. • See the volunteer section below. Partners & Sponsors • There are many ways to partner with and sponsor Kinktoberfest, including free options to advertise your own community organization. We will work with you to customize an approach that matches how you move in our community. Partner organizations can display their logo as partners, poster at our events, and handouts for others to learn about their organization. Businesses can advertise as well -- Kinktoberfest will have a professional program book that will contain ads that will endure after the event as well as space to display your posters or banners. • See the Partner and Sponsor flier below. Because the Friday events are short, vendors will only need to attend the weekend event Friday, Saturday, and Sunday October 16, 17, 18. About our Classes Classes are typically 60 to 90 minutes in duration. class sessions plus one 3- hour intensive! Our classes will be facilitated by instructors from across the country and local expertise. We have flexible space for about 20-24 classes over the four days. We would like to include Cigar Service & Play at an outdoor space. Being an Instructor We wish to have a wide representation in our instructors include a wide range of experience, topics, and styles. You don’t need to have years of experience to instruct if you have passion and ideas to share. About our space We have a limited number of rooms and areas for vendors at this facility. We only plan on vendors being at the Saturday 1 November and Sunday 2 November dates. Our Friday dates seem too brief at this point, but we’re open to considering vendors then if it makes sense for you. Open Public Vendor Hours Kinktoberfest and NM-REAL are focused on our vendor success! Our vendors will be available to the general public at no cost during “Public Open Vendor Hours,” so even if the public does not want to attend Kinkotberfest, they can take advantage of their gathering in one location! We will advertise this opportunity separately from Kinktoberfest. Being a Vendor We’re currently accepting interest those wishing to be vendors. We don’t plan to use an online form for vendors for this coming event. Please contact us directly at our email address. Let’s talk! Providing Bootblack Services We’re currently accepting interest those wishing to Bootblack at Kintoberfest. We have one Bootblack identified. We may consider another to allow Bootblacks to take shifts. We only plan to have Bootblacks at the Saturday 1 November and Sunday 2 November dates. Our Friday dates seem too brief at this point to provide good opportunity for the Bootblack; however, as attendance becomes more clear, a Bootblack on the two Fridays may make sense.

Why Volunteer? Volunteers make the event happen and help create attended, vendor, and educator experience. Volunteering is also a great way to connect with the community and learn. Volunteers can gain free entry into the event with sufficient volunteer hours. Some volunteers are not focused on free entry, but wish to be a closer part of the community and provide service to the community. Compensation? How much do we “pay” or compensate? We value our volunteers and compensate them over New Mexico minimum wage ($12/hr) at about $15 per hour. Of course we don’t pay funds, we exchange your service with free entry. That means you can get a free entry with 4-6 hours of volunteer time, depending for what and when you volunteer. We hope that you’ll volunteer more hours than that for a free entry - because its fun, a great service to the community, and you’ll learn new things and meet new people. You can also volunteer extra time for a free run pin (one per hour, with limits), because that seems fun. Volunteer time does not include getting to your post 15 min early and perhaps staying 15 min late to make sure there is a good transition. Limitations may apply and there is a minimum volunteer time for the free entry. Lots of options available. Your application must be accepted by the organizing committee and compatible volunteer slots must be available. See the application form for more information (button below). Being a Volunteer Volunteers can provide help at one or more of the four days of the event based upon the need of the event. We will work with you to find the best times. Volunteering can happen much earlier than the event if you wish to help organize and make pre-event activity happen. Volunteers are interviewed to understand the best fit with Kintoberfest. What is a Partner or Sponsor? Kinktoberfest will work with you, your business, or your organization to find the best way for you to parner with or sponsor Kintoberfest. We have a flier with some options, but we’re open to create other approaches that benefit our community as well as your organization or business. Some of these options have no cash cost associated with them. Some options include free services or entry into Kinktoberfest. Some examples: • Other kink, alternative lifestyle, and leather organizations may obtain a Community Sponsorship that has no cost but allows the organization to display a poster and fliers that describe their organization. It’s about community! • Businesses can have different sponsorship levels that include advertising in our professional Program Book, providing items for our swag bag, and free entry options. • Swagger Partners are those that provide fliers or other items for our swag bags. This might just be a business card. It might be a usable item. Total retail value of usable items by our attendees provide benefits such as free advertising in our Program Book. • Vendors can provide raffle items, who’s total retail value will provide benefits including free advertising in our Program Book.
